How selection works
For students who qualify in Categories 2 and 3, 70% weightage shall be given for test scores and 30% weightage for the interview for admission to Ph.D. programmes. Ph.D. admission shall be based on the combined merit of NET marks and the marks obtained in the viva voce/ interview.

Documents to prepare
The candidates qualified for appearing in the viva are required to submit a preliminary synopsis of 8-10 pages of the proposed research work, and it is to be submitted along with the application form. Candidates for Part- Time Ph.D. shall submit a “ No Objection Certificate ” (NOC) from the appropriate authority in the organization where the candidate is employed clearly stating the following: (a) the candidate is permitted to pursue studies on a part- time basis, (b) his/her official duties permit him/her to devote sufficient time for research, and (c) if required, he/she will be relieved from the duty to complete the course work.

Hard copy of the same with required enclosures should be sent to ‘The Registrar, At Nagri, P.O. Bukru, Ranchi Patratu Road, Kanke, Ranchi - 834006 on or before 06/11/2026 .
