A bill to provide for the establishment of an Aquaculture Authority of India for regulating the activities connected with sustainable and responsible aquaculture and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Important to know
(2) This Act shall be applicable to all forms of aquaculture and allied activities in inland, coastal and marine areas under the national jurisdiction. (3) This Act extends to the whole of India, including the Exclusive Economic Zone. (4) Save as otherwise provided, it shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.
